I know…it’s not Thursday, but if you want to know the truth, I wrote this post for Thanksgiving…and I forgot to send it out ;). Oh well.

Anyhow, a few weeks ago, we were in Boston. I turned on the TV in our hotel and there it was….”Rear Window”. I have always LOVED that movie……mostly because I’m obsessed with Grace Kelly. Wasn’t she a BEAUTY?

So, I decided to find some looks that will be “just like Grace”. I wish I could go back in time….

So, a few years ago, I was wearing my cute brown Bass loafers and my mom, who was visiting, said, “I love those loafers!” So, I gave them to her just because they are SO her and it saved her from trying to find them on her own. Anyhoo, last weekend, I told my mom I was watching “Rear Window” and she said, no joke, “Oh, I just LOVE her outfit in the final scene….the one with the loafers.” :). Now, I know why she wanted them and come to think of it, she reminds me a little of Grace Kelly in the way she dresses and looks ;). See below how you can get the look. Ok, well it’s hard to find an exact replica of that FAB black and white dress, BUT, there is a lady on Etsy who will make it for you – how about that? The “tea” length dress was so elegant during those days. I don’t know why people don’t wear them more often. I think I might try it….why not? Black Dress Left, Black Dress Middle or HERE Black and white “Modern” version and Navy Dress. PS – Oscar always does the tea length :).

Obviously, this isn’t Grace Kelly…. it’s Catherine Deneuve. I’m posting it because I saw this photo and I have almost the SAME DRESS that I got way back when when I worked for Oscar de la Renta.
